Potty Time

Lincoln likes to try and stand at the toilet with the boys and go potty before they get in the bath, but he is not tall enough to reach. The other day he kept saying " I gotta go poo mom" Which I knew he didn't because he had already gone that morning. Finally after 15 minutes he kept bugging be so I put him on the potty. He sat on the toilet for for about 20 minutes. He kept wanting toilet paper and then he would put it down the toilet. He got off a few times by himself and said I gotta wipe my bum and then he would take the toilet paper and wipe his bum. After about 15 minutes of sitting on the toilet he went pee, then sat there for 5 more minutes it was cute. He hasn't wanted to sit on there since.

Merry Christmas

On Christmas Eve we had Matt, Chanci and Kyle over for dinner. We read from the scriptures and watched Joy to the World. The boys got to open their pajamas from Grammy and Papa.

Christmas morning we let the boys get up and look at their presents. We got ready and went to church and let them open their presents when we came home. Korbin and Lincoln wanted to get back in their new PJ's.

We bought the boys a mini trampoline for Christmas. Lincoln LOVES it and jumped on it almost all day.

Chance was so excited that they got a WII for Christmas. I love the expression on his face.

Chance bought Korbin and Lincoln a ball pit tent for Christmas. They love to play in it and call it their hideout.

Later that evening we had Greg's family over. We had appetizers, played games and the cousin's exchanged gifts.

We had a really nice Christmas and were so glad we were able to spend it with family. We are most grateful for the Saviour and the role that he plays in our lives. We recognize the enabling power of the atonement and the blessings that we recieve from our Heavenly Father.

10 Stitches

The other night I was in the kitchen and had just put dinner in the oven. Korbin was over sitting in the chair by the fireplace and Lincoln had been sitting by him. Lincoln started crying and I looked over and he was bent over between the chair and the fireplace. I went and picked him up and then I noticed he had a huge cut on his head. After I looked at it I knew he was going to need stitches. I got the bleeding to stop and we got ready to go to the insta care. Greg was at work and the two older boys got their shoes and coats on and were so helpful. Thanks to Aunt Paula who came and picked the older boys up from the Insta care. He had to get 4 internal sutures and 10 stitches. While the Dr. was stitching him up he kept crying and saying "I'm done" and "Hold me mama" He was so exhausted he fell asleep while the Dr. was stitching him up. He is doing fine now and he is healing very quickly.

Family Christmas Party

We went to the Harward family Christmas party at Paula's house. We saw Santa and had breakfast. The boys did not want to go and sit on Santa's lap at all. It took some convincing to get Chance to go up there. I took Lincoln up to sit by Santa and he started screaming. We had a lot of fun and were able to see a lot of family that we don't see very often.

Mountain of Blankets

Christmas Performance

Chance's elementary school put on a Christmas performance for all the parents. The second grade sang a song called "All the animals down in Texas" Chance is on the 2nd row from the bottom and the 4th one in from the right hand side.

Santa

We took the boys down to the riverwoods to see Santa. First they dropped off their Christmas letters in his Santa mail box, then we went over to see Santa. As we were walking up to Santa Korbin said he was not going to sit on Santa's lap. When we got up there I told Chance that he needed to go first and then maybe the other boys would go up there. Korbin refused to go and wanted Greg to hold him the whole time. After Chance sat on Santa's lap I told Lincoln to go up to see Santa. He walked right up to him and stood there for a minute and then when Santa went to pick him up he started crying. After we were finished Korbin was upset because Santa didn't give him a candy cane. We told him that in order to get one he had to sit on Santa's lap. Maybe next year he will remember that and want to sit on his lap.

Thanksgiving Point

We took the boys to Thanksgiving Point for FHE. They were so excited to see Santa's reindeer and kept asking what their names were. When it was time to go see the lights Lincoln didn't want to leave, he just wanted to look at the reindeer, so I told him to say goodbye to the reindeer. He waved goodbye to them and said "bye, bye reindeer" about four times. When we were walking to the car Korbin said "I don't want to go see the Christmas lights" So, Greg told him to close his eyes while we drove through. As we were getting ready to drive up to the lights Korbin said "I am not going to close my eyes, I am going to open them and look" The boys wanted me to take pictures of every single light display. It was a lot of fun!

Decorating the Tree

One of Korbin's advent presents was a sticker Christmas tree that he got to decorate. He was so busy with it that he didn't want to look up for a picture. He was nice enough to share with Lincoln and let him help decorate the tree.

Ward Christmas Party-Nativity Play

For our ward Christmas Party the primary children put on a play about the nativity. All of the kids were assigned different parts. Chance was a nephite and Korbin was a Shepard. We had a practice during the week and Korbin did not want to to be in the play at all. The primary president asked Korbin "if he wanted to participate and wear a costume?" He replied to her "I have a spiderman costume" I was worried that he wouldn't stand there and be quiet, so I told him he didn't have to participate and had him sit with Lincoln and I during the performance. On Saturday the Primary president came over and gave the boys there costumes. Just before it was time to go I told Chance he needed to get his costume on and get ready to go. Korbin said "oh we need to get our costumes on, I will go get my spiderman costume" Then Chance said "Korbin it is not about Halloween you are not wearing your spiderman costume, this is Christmas and it is about Jesus" Chance did a great job in the play.

I spent a few hours in the kitchen making these cookies for the ward. They are our new favorite sugar cookie!!

Advent Calendars

Korbin's primary teacher put together an advent calendar for all the sunbeams. He gets to open a present or card everyday. He loves it! The first day was to wear a holiday hat. Day 24 was to write a letter to Santa. I helped him with his letter and the only thing that he wanted me to write was that "he wants Santa to bring him a pogo stick". I asked him if he wanted anything else and he said "no, I only want a pogo stick" When we were writing his letter Chance went and started a letter of his own. His letter to Santa said that he wants a WII, a soccer ball and a bike that doesn't squeak and a kickstand to go on his bike. on the second line he wrote "Santa, I really, really, really really want a new bike" Greg told him he could fix the squeaking on his bike and we could get him a kickstand. Chance loves his bike and rides it almost everyday even if it is cold outside. Lincoln is too little to understand but if you ask him what he wants Santa to bring him he says "a basketball"

This year we are doing our traditional book countdown. I wrap up 25 Christmas books and we unwrap a different Christmas story every night and read it as a family. I also started a Santa countdown with the boys. They get to put a cotton ball on Santa's beard up until Christmas.

Basketball

Lincoln LOVES basketball. His favorite thing to do is to throw the ball to us. When he throw's the ball he says "catch it" The other day he sat and threw the ball to us for a good twenty minutes and still wasn't tired. Whenever we are in the cultural hall at church he points out the basketball hoop and says "basketball" Just last week we were in the cultural hall practicing for a primary program and he went over and stood under the hoop and said basketball and pretended he was dribbling the ball with his hand.

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year with Greg's family. These are the only pictures that we took of Thanksgiving(and no one was even looking) We have so much to be grateful for and were glad that we were able to celebrate with family.

Provo Beach

I took the boys down to Provo Beach on Saturday to do something fun for Lincoln, as we didn't do anything on his birthday. I thought that Lincoln was going to be scared to ride the carousel, but he loved it!! He wanted to ride it over and over. Chance and Korbin went and played in the kids play area while Lincoln and I waited in the parents area. Lincoln was not very happy because he was not old enough to go in. So, after they were finished playing I took him down to the toddler area and he had so much fun. We spent several hours there. The best part about Provo Beach is Ike's cream. They sell Blue Bell ice cream which is made in Texas. We fell in love with it when we lived there and we were really excited when we found out they were selling it at Ike's. They ship it in from Texas via Denver.

1st snowfall

We woke up to an Inch of snow on Saturday. The boys wanted to go outside right after breakfast. They stayed outside for an hour and a half and had so much fun. They went back outside after lunch. Korbin came back inside after an hour, but Chance stayed outside for two more hours. They don't care if it's cold or snowy they just want to be outside and play. Chance was very helpful and cleaned off the car and shoveled off the back deck for me.

Riverwoods

I took the boys down to the lighting of the riverwoods on Friday. They had a store with about 10+ gingerbread houses that the different stores and restaurants decorated. This gingerbread house pictured above was the gingerbread house that Greg and two other guys from work decorated for the store Blickenstaff's. It took them 30+ hours to do.

Santa hadn't arrived yet so, I took the boys into his house and this picture is in Santa's chair. There is a cute little house that Santa sits in. There is a fireplace to the right and a Christmas tree on the left of his chair.

Chance really wanted to go on the carriage ride. We waited in line for about 45 minutes, but it was worth it. The kids were really good and didn't even complain about waiting for so long in the cold weather.

Apples

Our next door neighbor offered us some apples from her tree. I went over one Saturday and picked for about an hour and got four big boxes. We have been making apple butter, apple pie filling and apple juice. We have one box left and are just enjoying those yummy apples.

A Big Helper

About two months ago Chance was out riding his bike and he saw our neighbor across the street mowing the other neighbors lawn(he takes care of their yard with the priest while they are away on their mission) Chance went up and asked the neighbor if he could help mow the lawn and that he wanted to learn how to do it. So he gave Chance a lesson on how to mow the lawn. Korbin had to pitch in and help as well by picking up all their peaches off the lawn. Last week our neighbor was out and was getting ready to mow his lawn. Chance ran out and asked if he could do it for him. Chance has gotten a little better at mowing. When he fist started he went a little zig zag and now he can follow a straight line and start the lawn mower all by himself. He mowed the neighbor's entire front lawn. Chance's friend came and wanted to play but Chance wouldn't quit mowing until he was all finished. He also likes to help pick up all the flags with this neighbor on the holiday's. The first time he went he liked it so much he came home and said "I am going to go with him to pick up flag's every holiday" When Chance woke up on Veterans day and saw all the flags in the yard he was so excited. He waited until the nieghbor was ready to pick them up and went and asked if he could help. Before he went over to ask if he could help he said to me "Mom can I go help the neighbor pick up the flags it is really good exercise for me and I really want to go" He was so excited when I said "yes"

For helping mow the lawn the neighbor gave all the kids a popsicle.

The boys woke up and wanted to dress up in their Halloween costumes

I found Lincoln sitting in his chair reading a book. He has gotten use to me taking so many pictures that sometimes he will see me with the camera and just say "Cheese" without even looking at the camera.

Lincoln loves his new train. He likes to push it around and say "Choo Choo" His brothers like to play with it more than he does.

Cookie Monster and Elmos cupcakes. The frosting turned out more pink than red for Elmo but Lincoln liked it anyway.

We got Lincoln on the video recorder singing to himself Happy Birthday. He sang "Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Me" It was really cute. Unfortunatly, I don't have the cord(it is packed away in storage) to upload the video. Lincoln has grown up so fast. I try to cherish all those moments of cuddling and holding him because by the time I know it he will be as old as Chance. He loves to play with his brothers and watch Mickey Mouse. He loves books, bathtime, music, singing, dancing, playdoh, giving high fives and nuckles and batman. He is very good at mimicking his brothers. He puts a smile on our face everyday. We love you so much Lincoln!! Happy Birthday!

Batman

A few weeks ago Lincoln woke up from his nap and when I went to get him out of his crib he said to me "I'm Batman" So, I put on him the boys batman and superman cape. He has wanted to wear it all day everyday since then. His older brothers have taught him all about the different superheros.

We took the kids out trick or treating and forgot to get pictures, so we had to take them after we came home and they didn't sit very well or look at the camera. Lincoln was terrified of Korbin's spiderman mask. After we bought Korbin's costume we had to put it away and if we even talked about it Lincoln started crying and getting scared that we were going to get it out. Whenever he saw kids in costumes with a mask on he got really scared. After we went to a few houses Lincoln started getting the hang of it and would knock on the doors and kept saying "trick or treat", "thank you" and "bye bye." It was really cute.

We went to Chance's school to watch the Halloween Parade. I wasn't able to get a very good picture of him because of where we were sitting and the kids walked by so fast.

Pumpkin Walk

I took the kids this year again to the pumpkin walk. They had a lot of fun playing the pumpkin bean bag toss, pumpkin bowling and looking at all the cool pumpkins. This year they gave out free donuts to those kids who wore their costumes and Korbin was the only one who wore his. Chance didn't want to dress up and I just didn't put Lincoln's costume on. So, we had to make a trip to Krispy Kreme which was just across the street.

This morning as we were getting ready for church he went into his bedroom and got his clothes off the chair and brought them to me. Monte L. Bean Museum

I took the kids to the Monte L. Bean museum at BYU last Saturday. We saw the live animal show on reptiles. We saw a turtle named "Otis" a snake named "Victor" and a lizard named "Brewsky." The boys loved all the animals and Korbin and Lincoln pet all of them. They weren't even afraid. Chance would only touch the turtle. We had a lot of fun. As we were leaving the museum Korbin said "I really like that place." The boys keep asking me if we can go back and see another show.

CJ enters the United States Army

CJ left into the United States Army on Sunday. It was nice to spend some time with him before he left. It was hard to say goodbye knowing that we wouldn't be able to talk to him for 10 weeks. It was almost like he was going on a mission again. We wish him good luck!

13 years

Greg and I celebrated our 13Th Anniversary. We went out on a date while my Mom and Dad watched the kids. It was nice to be alone and have a quite dinner. It's been a long time since we have been on a date. It seems like just yesterday that we were planning our wedding and going on our honeymoon. We are looking forward to the many years to come.

Chance's Baptism

Chance was baptized and confirmed a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints of October 8th. We are so proud of him and his choice to be baptized. We had a lot of family and friends who came and supported him. It was a great day.

I have this addiction to finding and trying out new recipes. I LOVE to cook and even more LOVE to bake(that is why I have about 15 or more extra pounds that I can't loose). So, I found this recipe for crock pot Shredded BBQ chicken sandwiches on french bread rolls. Since I love to use the crock pot I thought I am going to try this. I made it for dinner tonight and I could tell right away that Greg wasn't a big fan of it. He said he thought it would just be better with a store bought BBQ sauce and that the one I made had too much vinegar. Chance sat at the table and took a few bites and then said "this is not very good" Lincoln didn't even try it(which didn't surprise me since he lives on milk) Korbin ate it and said it wasn't bad. Then Greg said "It looks like it is going to be a Wendy's night". Then I said "oh, ok Bill" My sister and brother in law live just down the street from Wendy's and whenever Kim makes dinner and they aren't big fans of it Bill will always say "It's a wendy's night".

You know you've made a bad dinner when your three boys and husband are sitting at the dinner table eating a bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios and the dinner dishes are still sitting on the table.

The boys and I went to Neilson's Grove park a few weeks ago. We had a lot of fun feeding the ducks and playing at the park. Lincoln kept waving to the ducks and saying "Hi Ducks" We will definitely be going back to that park again soon.

Korbin turned 4 years old on the 17th. He wanted to go to McDonald's for his birthday. Greg had to work that day so we celebrated on Saturday and Sunday. We went to McDonald's and opened presents on Saturday and we made his cake on Sunday. He wanted a spiderman cake. We made a special trip to the store for a spiderman that could go on top of his cake. When we made the cake on Sunday we couldn't find the spiderman anywhere. I looked trough all the toys and still couldn't find him. So, he had a spiderman cake without the figurine. Then Chance found the spiderman a few days later down in Lincoln's books. I would have never thought to look there. The cake didn't turn out quite the colors that I was thinking of but Korbin liked it anyway. He brings a smile to our face everyday. Happy Birthday Korbin. We love you!!

Dogs

I took the boys to the library yesterday. We went upstairs to find some animal books to check out and I decided to find some books about Dogs for Korbin since he LOVES dogs. We found a few books and brought them home. He came right in the house and started looking at all the books. He brought me the dog book and said "Mom this is the dog that I want" The book was opened to a picture of a Shih tzu. Later that day when Chance came home from school Korbin was showing him all the books and then Chance came up to me and showed me the same page that Korbin had showed me earlier and told me that is the dog that he wanted. Korbin is always telling us that he wants a dog and that he wants to name him spot. He has carried around the dog book ever since then with the page opened to the shih tzu. He loves dogs so much he even talks about them in Sunbeams. I was teaching a lesson a few weeks ago and we were playing a game and I was asking the kids to tell me when they are the happiest. When it was Korbin's turn he said He is the most happiest when he is with his dog. A few weeks later we were having a lesson on being thankful for food and when the teacher asked Korbin what type for food that he likes he said he likes dog.

Chance turned 8 on Monday. He didn't have to go to school that day because it was Labor day. We went to lunch at Malawi's and then went out to Mimi's for dinner(I forgot to take pictures) after dinner we had birthday cake( he had a really hard time deciding on what type of cake he wanted, but he finally decided on a Ice Cream cake) and opened presents. We can't believe that he is eight already. Time flies by. We are so pround of him and we are so glad that he is part of our family. Happy Birthday Chance!! We love you!!

Spiders

The other day I was walking down the hall and found a spider. I said " there is a spider on the wall" Korbin and Lincoln came right down to look at it. After Korbin looked at it he said "Hurry we need to get a tissue" He came back with the tissue and killed it. It was his first spider that he had ever killed. I thought he was going to get the tissue for me to kill it. He was very proud that he did it all by himself.

Brushing Teeth

The other day I told Korbin that he needed to brush his teeth; which we normally help him do . On this occasion he beat me to it. I walked downstairs and found the sink full of toothpaste. The tube of toothpaste was sitting on the counter and almost empty. I had just bought it the day before. I asked Korbin why the toothpaste was all in the sink and he told me "you told me to brush my teeth". I am glad he listened and went down and brushed even though half of the toothpaste ended up in the sink.

Silly Boys

Back to School

Chance started 2nd Grade on Tuesday. We went to an open house on Monday night and he got to see where his desk was. Korbin found a desk that had a boys name on it that started with a "K" and it was written in red. So the next morning he woke up and was eating breakfast and told Chance that when he goes to school he will have a K on his desk written in red for Korbin. He also told him that he want to be a alligator just like Chance when he goes to school. (the kids are either a early bird where you start school earlier or a later gater where you start school an hour later than the other kids) He was really nervous about going, but I just reminded him that everyone else was nervous too. On the way home from taking Chance Korbin said " Chance is going to do a lot of fun things in school."

Heber

We went up to Heber a few weeks ago to spend the day with Jeff and Marie before school started. We went shooting, the kids played outside on the slip and slide, rode bikes, and then we had a BBQ and roasted marshmallows. It was a lot of fun and we can't wait until we can do it again.

Mt. Timpanogas Temple

We have been talking about Temples in Primary, so we went to the Mount Timpanogas Temple for FHE. We enoyed walking around the temple grounds and looking at all the beautiful flowers. We are so grateful that we have so many temples close by.

We came home one day and saw two quails in the neighbor's yard, so we sat and watched them for a minute. Then all of a sudden we saw 10 baby quails walk out from the bushes. They were so cute. We saw them the next day across the street and one day in our yard.

Rock Canyon Park

4th of July Parade

We had a lot of fun on the 4th of July weekend with our family. The best part was that Greg was off of work and able to spend it with us.

We went up to Canyon Glen Park and roasted Hot Dog's and Marshmallow's, played football and just hung out.

The boys found some ants on the ground and Korbin gave them some licorice to see if they would eat it.

Tremonton

My Dad was here on a business trip and was able to stay with us for a week. The boys had a lot of fun with their Papa. While he was here his Aunt Beth died and so we went with him to Tremonton for the funeral. As we were driving home we saw the Brigham City Temple under construction. It was really neat. I haven't ever seen a temple under construction.

This is the area around my Grandma and Grandpa Oyler's house in Tremonton. My dad told me that he use to wander all around here with his dog.

I have so many memories of going and visiting Grandma and Grandpa Oyler on the farm. We use to play in the irrigation water and feed the lambs from old sprite bottles with black rubber nipples on them, and every night before bed Grandma would make us warm milk in these cute little cups with animals on them. I am glad that I had the opportunity to go back up to Tremonton and show the boys where Papa grew up.

On the car ride up Korbin reached over and was holding Lincoln's hand. It was so cute!

On Monday we celebrated my birthday. When I woke up in the morning Greg was just leaving for work and he and Chance reminded me several times how old I was now. The boys and I went out to lunch and then we all went out to dinner with Robin and Glenn. Then we had Snickers Cheesecake for dessert.

Goose Egg/Boat

While we were walking into Home Depot Korbin tripped on my shoe and fell face down into the parking lot. He got a big goose egg on his forehead. Later that day I said "Wow, you got a big goose egg" So for the rest of the day whenever it would hurt he would say "oh, my goose hurts" He kept calling it his goose. It was really funny.

About a week ago he fell down outside on the sidewalk and banged up his knees. Then I went walking a few days ago and Korbin came with me and tripped and fell down and reopened the scab and had blood running down his leg.

I was doing laundry yesterday and Korbin took the basket and got out some wooden spoons and made a boat. He sat in it for a while playing like he was rowing.

Lego's

Chance loves Lego's! He got a Police Station and ten different vehicles that he can put together for Christmas. He never put them together until now. He would pull it out and then get so overwhelmed from all the pieces. So, Chance and I organized all the Lego's into the different colors( all 1728 of them). It is now easier to find all the different parts. Yesterday he built two different trucks and this morning he started working on the police station and is half way done. It keeps him very occupied and I don't have to hear "I am bored" or he doesn't have to hear me saying "get off the computer or DS and stop teasing your brother".

Fun in the Sun

Since it got above 85 today the boys wanted to get wet and play in the pool. Lincoln wanted nothing to do with it and cried and screamed in fear of even the pool blown up without any water. They got some energy out and I got to relax in the shade. It is time to go swimsuit shopping. Chance's swimsuit was too small and Korbins was falling off him. When I put Lincoln's swimsuit on him all he did was get mad and try to pull it off.

Lincoln 19 months

Lincoln is growing up so fast. I just want him to stay little for awhile longer. He is talking so much. He repeats a lot of the words that we say. He says Chance really well but for some reason he won't say Korbin. Tonight in the bathtub he threw Korbin a bath sponge and said "Catch" He has never said that word before and it was cute because he knew what it meant. He is a big climber. He is always climbing onto the beds, couch, chairs, and table. I don't think the other boys were as much of climbers as he is. He loves to go outside and play with squirt guns. It keeps him entertained for quite a while. He loves to play and do everything that the boys will do. He follows them all over the house and goes where ever they go. He loves to drink milk and refuses to drink water and throws a fit if you give him water. He is a big tease(especially with Greg) when your are trying to get his attention or get him to look at you, but then a few seconds later he will look at you with a big grin knowing full well that he is teasing. He loves it when his daddy comes home. He loves to color and draw on paper. He is very attached to his blankie and monkey and screams when the boys take it from him. Since he was sick the last few weeks I didn't take him into nursery when he turned 18 months old. Sunday was the first time that he went in. I put him down at the table and he played with the play doh for a little while and then he discovered the toys. He played and went and found an Elmo that he carried around for most of the time. He never clinged to me or cried. I snuck out to go to my primary class and they told us that he did really well. I just hope that he does that well every week. We love Lincoln and are so glad he is a part of our family. He brightens up our day!

We didn't cut Lincoln's Hair when we did the other boys because he was not feeling well and we didn't want it to be a battle. With the help of a ring pop he sat pretty well and let Greg cut his hair.

1st Grade Graduate

Chance just completed first grade. He told me that he wished he didn't know how to read because the kids who don't know how to read in his class went to reading recovery and they got a certificate and a book. So, we surprised Chance with a book and a certificate for completing 1st grade. We are so proud of him. He finished at the top of his class in reading, and he is now excited that he can read the books at the school that are only for 2nd graders and older.

Sick, Sick, Sick and a Big Big Ouchie!!

Since the end of April we have been sick with the flu, Bronchitis, sinusitis, colds and coughs that lasted for a month. We are finally feeling better. We went through our fare share of Kleenex, Ibuprofen, DayQuil, NyQuil, Penicilin, Lysol and cough medicine.

Last week I was in making the boys a Dinosaur Play mat made out of felt. I was ironing on the wonder under to the felt, I had just finished and unplugged the iron. The two little boys wanted to see it, so they put their little chairs in front of the ironing board and stood on them to see. I was turned around and picking some stuff up. As soon as I saw them I moved Korbin. I told them that we need to get them down. Then I was going to move Lincoln. I heard him crying so I turned around and he had his hand stuck in the handle of the iron. I thought to myself oh good he just got his hand stuck in the iron and that is why he was crying. I immediately picked him up and looked at his hand that was stuck in the handle and thought oh good he didn't get burned. Then I looked at his other hand and saw the burn marks. I felt so awful. He had gotten the one hand stuck on the handle and then it tipped the iron onto the other hand. We took him to the Dr. and he had 2nd degree burns on his left hand. I cried most of the morning from feeling so bad and kept saying to myself I should have moved Lincoln first instead of Korbin. I just hope he doesn't have really bad scars. He is doing well and It doesn't seem to bother him. Most days he will keep his bandage on.

We went down to Moab for the weekend with Jeff and Marie. We stopped at the grocery store before we headed out of town and all the boys had to jump on Jeff and Marie's cart.
Both of our cars were totally packed with camping stuff, coolers and luggage there wasn't room for anything else. We stopped at the Walmart in Price to pick up some tent stakes. Marie and I were waiting in the car with the kids. We decided to take the kids in to go to the bathroom. While walking into the store Korbin was having a MAJOR tantrum. He had just woken up from a nap and was still tired. I was trying to hold Lincoln and walk into the store while Korbin was pulling on my back pant pockets. He trew himself on the floor atleast two or three times, one of the times was right at the door by the Walmart greeter. She asked me if I would like a cart to put Lincoln or Korbin in. Talk about embarrassing!! And of course everyone was starring at us. I am just glad I don't know anyone in Price. While we were standing in front of the bathrooms, Jeff came walking out of the checkstand with this HUGE tub of Cheese Puffs. I started laughing at him and said "where are you going to put that?"

Korbin had high fever on Thursday night so we took him on Friday to the Urgent Care and he had bronchitis. Poor guy. He was pretty miserable the whole trip. We had to hold him almost all day long. We are so glad that he is starting to feel a little better. While we were getting packed up and ready to leave Korbin asked "Are there jaguars where we are going camping?" Then we told him "No" Then he said "are there Lions, and Tigers and Bears?" It was so cute. While we were driving around looking for a camping spot Korbin asked us about 25+ times "When are we going camping" then after about 25+ times of asking that he said "when are we going to Home Depot?" Then he started singing "Wont you take me to funky town" "Wont you take me to funky town" We don't know where that came from but it was really funny.

We had a lot of fun camping even though it was hard with onery sick kids. We can't wait to go again when we will be able to do more stuff. We drove to the entrance of Arches, but the kids fell asleep in the car and we didn't want to wake them up and try hiking while holding two sleepy sick kids. Greg and Jeff made some really good dutch oven dinners and the kids had fun roasting marshmellows in the campfire. We are looking forward to our next camping trip whenever that may be.

Mothers Day

Greg made this cake for me for Mother's Day. It was AMAZING I don't think I will have strawberry shortcake any other way.

My parents were in town and we were able to spend a little time together on Mother's Day before they headed back to Texas. It is always so nice to see them and so hard when they go. I am so grateful for my mother and the example she is to me. I don't know what I would do without her. It seems like I am calling her everyday for advice on cooking, kids, life, sewing, primary lessons, etc.

I just wish for once we would all be able to look at the camera and smile. It was a typical Sunday morning trying to get ready for Church, we were only half ready when my parents had to leave for the airport. Lincoln had his hair combed and teeth brushed while the other two had their socks on and I was in my sweats still, so we had to take pictures the way we were.

Planting Time

Lincoln LOVES to be outside. Whenever we go outside Lincoln loves to collect rocks and carry them around. He kept himself entertained by putting dirt and rocks in this bottle. I am glad that we are finally getting some nicer weather so that we can spend some time outdoors.

We have always wanted to try planting vegetables, but living in Vegas(in the Hot summer) and moving around to different states we have never tried. We decided to try our green thumb this year and see how it goes. We LOVE tomato's and went a little overboard at the greenhouse. There were so many varieties to choose from. We wanted to have some that were an early crop and a later crop, some grape and cherry tomato's, and then Greg wanted some heirloom tomato's. So we came home with at least 6 different kinds. We also planted cucumbers, zucchini, sugar snap peas and basil. My parents were in town that weekend so we enlisted my Dad's help on what are the best kinds to buy and how to plant them.

The last few weeks I have found my boys in the kitchen raiding the pantry looking for food. They usually end up getting into the chips or pretzels because that is what they can reach and they are at eye level. Lincoln usually ends up getting the bag down and dumping it all onto the floor.

Korbin's Fashion Statement

One day a few weeks ago I was in the kitchen cleaning up the dinner dishes and noticed that Korbin had gone outside. Knowing that he didn't have any pants on, I went to the window to see if he was really outside, sure enough he was in his favorite frog rain boots and his underwear. As Greg, Chance and I were looking outside (at him walking all over the front lawn with only his rain boots and underwear on)we were laughing hysterically at him when a car pulled up. I turned to Greg and said "who is that?" Then I looked at the people in the car and realized it was my visiting teachers, who I had forgotten that they were coming. So they were greeted with a messy house and a boy walking around the front yard in his underwear. Talk about embarrassing moments. It didn't stop there the boys were so bad while they were visiting me. I was glad the visit only lasted 15 minutes. Needless to say I got new visiting teacher's. I told Greg they probably asked to visit someone else since it was such Chaos that day. Why is it that whenever someone visits my kids always act up? I am hoping I am not the only one who this happens too?

Lincoln screamed almost the whole time the boys were dying egg's because he wanted a "ball" Every time I would give him an egg he would hold it for a minute and then drop it on the floor and he was not happy with a plastic egg. He wanted a real egg.

Chance is quite creative. He made this movie theater and Rex's home back in November. As well as a Doctor's Office and Auto shop. The last month he has been writing Chapter books and making his own books. We go through a lot of paper and staples. He makes a new book or two everyday. I recently got called to be the Sunbeam teacher in our ward. I am very excited to be in primary with Korbin. My first lesson was "I am Thankful for fish" So I got some goldfish from the store to show my class. We got four goldfish and they all died within one week. I never took a picture of the goldfish in the bowl, but here is a picture of the boys putting the rocks in.

Buddies

These two are such great buddies and get along most of the time when Chance is at school. Korbin gave Lincoln a nick name "Lynn" I don't know how he came up with it. I guess it was easier to say Lynn than Lincoln. Korbin is officially potty trained YEAH!!! I didn't think the day would ever come. He seemed to pee in the toilet for a long time but he would not poop in the toilet. After begging him, talking to him about it and bribing him with new underwear he finally decided it was time. He loves to sing and does it all the time. His favorite songs to sing are "Follow the Prophet and I love to see the Temple" He loves to watch the Super Simple Songs on YouTube over and over(which is really nice especially when I need to do some laundry or ironing). Whenever he wants to tell you something he will say "Mom, let me tell you something" It is so funny. He has to have you looking right at him and then he will say it over and over if you didn't answer him the first time, until he has told you what he need's to say. I guess he is teaching us to be a better listeners. Whenever he gets in trouble or has done something wrong he will get so upset and run and hide in the corner and has this sad little face. It breaks our heart. He is so tenderhearted and hates to get in trouble(he can still be a trouble maker and get's into mischief) I love this age, they are so willing to learn and want to know how everything works.

Lincoln started walking at the end of January (14 months) and is now going up and down the stairs all by himself and climbing up onto chairs. He is now down to taking one nap. I thought I would hate it, but it has been nice to be able to run some errands in the morning before nap time. Now that he is only taking one nap he will nap a little longer usually about two hours and if I'm lucky sometimes three. It gives me some time to spend with Korbin. Lincoln loves to dance and read books, and tries to copy everything his older brothers are doing. He likes to play guns with them and will pick up a gun and say "boom boom boom" it is so cute. He now says "truck, car, please, done, eieio, gone, ball, dog, no and yes" He loves to see animals when we are outside or driving in the car. He has a big sweet tooth and has gotten to be a picky eater.

Chance had Dad's and doughnuts at school this month. Korbin kept asking all morning long if he could go. He was so upset that he couldn't go, so Greg told him he would bring him a doughnut home. (I wish we would have been able to get a picture of Greg and Chance at school)

Happy Valentines Day!!

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day at our house without sugar cookies. We love sugar cookies and only make then twice a year at Valentines and Halloween. We don't need all those cookies so we took them over to my brother's house to share.

This year for Valentine's I surprised the boys and put cut out hearts all up the stairs and then set a special breakfast place for them with cards and a bag of treats. They were so excited and after breakfast Chance said "can we keep this up for lunch and dinner?" All day long they kept saying "I love you Mom, Happy Valentine's Day and thank you for doing this for us" I did it as a last minute thing so not everything matched but they didn't notice.

Korbin's sunbeam teacher brought this cute Valentines package over for him on. She is always going above and beyond for her Sunbeams. Later that night his other Sunbeam teacher brought the blue sugar cookie over. After his teacher left Chance asked Korbin if he would share his treats with him and Korbin said "of course" He is such a nice brother. I thought Chance might get upset since Korbin got two things from his teachers that day, but all Chance said was "I am so glad that Korbin gets all this stuff because he shares it with me"

Korbin pulls the funniest faces he especially likes to go cross eyed. It is so funny. We will all be laughing so hard and he will keep such a straight face.

Korbin is a SUNBEAM!!! It is hard to beleive that he is in Primary now. It will be fun for him to be in primary this year with Chance, since next year Chance will be in Sr. Primary. His teacher brought him over this cute bag with a note that said "I am so glad you are a Sunbeam" After sarament on Sunday Greg was walking Korbin down the hall and he kept saying "I want to go to primary". During primary he had a hard time sitting down and after church Chance imformed us that he turned to the boy sitting next to him, stretched out his arms and said "Buzz Lightyear says to infinity and beyond." Primary should be fun this year.

Korbin is such a kind brother. He is always so willing to share.

Leaving to Australia

Greg's Parents and sister left for their mission to Australia on the 6th of December. We wish them well in their service and look forward to seeing them in eighteen months.

Christmas Day afternoon we spent time with Greg's family. We had a nice dinner and the cousin's exchanged gifts. It was a little weird as Greg's parents were gone. They are on their mission in Australia.

We have had a nice Holiday Season doing lots of Shopping, Baking, Seeing the lights at Thanksgiving Point and Temple Square (both of which we forgot the camera for), going to the Live Nativity and then leaving because there was an hour and a half wait. We have a lot to be thankful for this season. We are so grateful for the gospel, especially for this time of year where we celebrate the birth of our Saviour. It is always a reminder of the importance of having a Christlike love, the importance of sharing time with family and friends and caring for our fellowman. We look forward to the new year with a sense of hope and a desire to be better people.

Gingerbread Houses

Every year we decorate Gingerbread Houses. The kids have a lot of fun doing it.
I think Chance enjoyed eating the candy more than decorating the house. Greg ended up doing most of the decorating, but he enjoys that, even though he wasn't pleased with how it turned out.

Santa at the Riverwoods

We took the boys to see Santa at the Riverwoods. Korbin talked about going to see Santa all day. On the way to the Riverwoods, he kept saying how excited he was and that he was going to ask Santa for a Pillow pet and a Woody. Chance, on the other hand said "I am not going to sit on Santa's lap, I already wrote him a letter." When we finally got up to see Santa, Korbin would not sit on his lap...ummm we just stood there looking at Santa. Finally we put Lincoln on Santa's lap and then Chance sat on his lap and then finally Korbin. It's amazing that it took a one year old to convince the other two.

Lincoln turned 1 year old on the 14th. It is hard to believe he is a year old. This last year has gone by so fast. It makes me sad to think that he is a toddler now, I still want him to be my litlle baby. He has such a cute little personality and is such a happy baby. He has been pulling himself up to things for about 2 weeks. He is getting brave and only holds on with one hand. He has crawled up two steps. He has a new tooth on the bottom and another one coming in. He loves to read books, play peek a boo, bubble bathes and getting chased by his older brothers. He LOVES music if he hears it on the TV, radio, or at church he starts dancing and whenever we say "dance" he does.
